The Vocational Program is now an ICF Level 1 Program (formerly ACSTH)
Earlier this year the ICF announced that their 20 plus year ACSTH and ACTP accreditations would be retired and replaced with Level 1 and Level 2 equivalents. All schools needed to reapply for the new status by presenting their entire curriculum and student administration processes to the ICF for review. It’s a rigorous and quality driven process.
We are excited to announce that our application was approved, with a direct benefit to students.
- Your certificate will indicate you have graduated from a leading Coach Education provider, with the most relevant and current certification possible.
- Your certificate will show the Level 1 ICF logo.
- Those interested in pursuing an ICF credential can apply directly via the new Level 1 track (more time and cost efficient than ACSTH).
eg. You no longer need to submit a coaching session to the ICF for their assessment. Instead, it is now a direct pathway needing only your ICA Certification and Coaching experience.
There have and will be some changes to the curriculum to accommodate the new accreditation requirements. Most have already taken effect (eg. Mentor Coaching now 2 hours). The only further change is that as of 2023, Observed Coaching will only be 5 weeks.
